Creative Writing Mini Workshop
I was attending mini workshop invited by Klub Buku Tasik collaborated with Komunitas Wisata Kuliner Tasik at Par Coffe, Plaza Asia. Oom Iwok as the speaker gave us so many knowledge about how to be a creative writer as the theme of our gathering is about creative writing.
Frankly, I was so excited to be all ears and pay attention on what Oom Iwok shared. So far I had many things about journalistic writing indeed, as I am (still) working as journalist on Radar Tasikmalaya daily newspaper. But I got new lesson about creative writing that it's about expressing thoughts, feelings, and emotions rather than to simply convey information.
There are many advantages of having creative writing skill. Putting what we see, what we feel, and what we think in our head onto paper and making it something enjoyable for the readers is a therapy. Sometimes, we may also feel it's hard to say what's on our mind. Nah, writing would be a solution to express them all.
The most delightful of having creative writing skill is when we're able to earn money. Just like what Oom Iwok did. He send his writing to some newspapers or magazines such as book review and short story. If the writing was published, the cash flows! :D

So how to get started?
- Oom
Iwok recommended to do some short exercises to stretch our writing
muscles. If we are short of ideas, let's go read certain books first.
Force ourselves to start writing. Everything we wanna write. Free. Try
to get into the habit of writing everyday, even it's just for ten
minutes.
- If we are stuck for ideas, carry a notebook or tablet everywhere and write down our feeling or observations. We will get some great lines of dialogue by keeping our ears open everywhere.
-Let's start our writing project which is purely for fun. We can write a poem or a short story. Have a happy writing, people! :)

Let Me Be Your Weirdo!
One of my resolution for this upcoming end of the year is: read more, write more! Read everything, write everything. So I can kill the time elegantly :p
BTW, here's my writing today that I finished less than an hour. Out of the topic actually. But just read it if you want.
Creating Maximum Effect In Minimalist Kitchen Design
Cooking at home is the most effective way to minimize your food budget. Almost every meal you cook at home will be less expensive than a similar meal out on the town. When you cook more often, kitchen must be coming your favorite place.
Nevertheless, kitchen is not only a place to cook food, it’s also a place to store gadgets and special room especially for those who love cooking so much. Kitchen can be a pleasure place as long as it has a fascinating design. Nowadays, people in the urban life tempt to choose the minimalist kitchen style design. For having a minimalist kitchen, it’s unnecessary to have a large space.
If you want to have a pleasurable minimalist kitchen, just start to renovate it. Now is a great time to create exactly what you want. You can do it yourself or ask the help of professional kitchen designer. Even a small space can have a spacious storage with some tricks. Since horizontal space is limited, think vertical.
So what is the solution? You can put the counters and shelves high up on the walls. Trying to find innovative storage containers and double duty is such a great option. For larger layouts, trying an L shaped would be a cool idea. In another meaning, L means ‘less’. Yes, less is more. That’s the mantra of minimalist who are interested to styles and designs that use the fewest elements to create maximum effect.
In the end, it's important to think about what your family uses the room for and then meet what you need in your kitchen design.
That's it. See you! :)
